About the National Alliance of Healthcare Purchaser Coalitions (National Alliance)

The National Alliance is a non-profit 501(c)6 located in Washington DC. Over the past 24 years, they have provided expertise, resources and leadership for its 50 purchaser-led coalition members across the US. The coalitions represent 12,000 healthcare purchasers providing health coverage to over 41 million Americans. Purchasers range from small and mid-sized companies to very large organizations (with over 5,000 employees). This puts the National Alliance in a unique position to offer an unparalleled collaboration and objectivity in the current changing healthcare marketplace.

For several years, National Alliance seeks to accelerate the nation's progress towards safe, efficient, high-quality health careand the improved health status of the American population They are involved in several national initiatives that educate and support community coalitions and their member employers. National Alliance is dedicated to making the coalition movement the vehicle for meaningful change in the health care system throughout the United States.
The Annual Conference is the National Alliance’s premier educational event bringing together its coalition members, their employer members, and key thought leaders and innovators in the healthcare marketplace. The conference highlights National Alliance’s position as a national thought leader in business performance, health, wellbeing and value-based approaches in healthcare.

The Annual Conference helps attendees understand the impact of current market trends, learn from the successes of innovators and leading-edge employers who have implemented real life strategies and solutions, and understand practical approaches to, improving health to transform health care, community by community.

Potential Speaking Opportunity: The National Alliance is open to receive proposals to present at its 2017 Annual Conference in November. All presentations are reviewed by a Planning & Review Committee. Speakers will be selected for general and panel sessions along with breakout sessions. All presentations will be chosen based on merit, appeal, relevance, and innovation.

Instructions and Deadlines for Submission:
  • All forms must be completed by COB Friday, June 23, 2017.
  • Final selections for presentations will be by end of July 2017.
  • If selected, you must agree to submit presenter bios, photos, Friday, July 28, 2017.
  • If accepted, you must submit PowerPoint presentations for your session by Friday, October 6, 2017 for review and approval.
Presentation content requirements: 

The committee will select proposals relevant to the current organizational directions for business over the next 3-5 years. Presentations must address employer organizations, healthcare stakeholders that partner with the employer community (i.e. case study).

Session should include at least one employer speaker. The more your proposal presents employer and/or community results and involvement, the more favorably your presentation will be considered.

    • Reinventing Healthcare Delivery through Benefit Design and the Employee Experience
    • Applying “Design Thinking” to Healthcare

    • Emerging Trends in Improving Organizational Performance

    • Emerging Trends/Effective Strategies for Managing Specialty Drugs
